Parents, come join us on Monday September 12 in Fellowship Hall for a visit from a well loved author. Betty Birney is famous for her Humphrey series based on the classroom pet, a hamster. It is written in a delightful point of view from Humphrey who wants to solve everyone's problems but also thinks that the teacher is out to get him. The book is written for ages 7-11. Another well reviewed book that she has written is called The Seven Wonders of Sassafras Springs (ages 9-12). You too might find the extraordinary in the ordinary as Eben the protagonist is challenged to find seven wonders in his small town before traveling as a reward. Order forms are available from the library website, from your child's teacher or the office. Checks must be stapled on the order form and returned to the Librarian's mailbox by September 12. Books will be available after 3:00 or delivered to the student the next day.
